A seriously old map but a classic in its own right, Area 51 is the first in a trilogy of space-styled maps. For its age it does quite well, there's minimal oversizing, some inventive sprite-work (for its time) and some rather memorable moments (the opening area in the transport shaft brings back many memories). Gameplay is reasonable. There's a couple of nice touches, such as the shrinker puzzle and the four-way switch controlled windows, though I always thought that was a tad strange. There's a few key-cards to grab in varying locations and a barrage of monsters to pit your skills against - if you want some classic Duke action be sure to check this one out.
