Back in the day Apogee
was the king of shareware titles, with such games as Cosmo's Cosmic
Adventure, Major Stryker and Rise of the Triad being among many which were available as single
episode releases. The ones we're concerned about of course are the ones involving
Duke Nukem, and here they are, available for a look-see for the curious or nostalgic.

Duke upgrades to VGA, full sound and music and now has plenty of new levels to blast his way through, provided there's a player at the controls. Here's your chance to re-live the old game, or at least the first part of it. |
Duke Nukum by 3D Realms Entertainment Downloads: 527 |

After a short bout of confusion with regard to name copyright, Duke Nukum was renamed Duke Nukem and our pink cardigan wearing hero burst onto the scene. This EGA 4-way scroller from 1991 is a blast from the past, and the first episode Shrapnel City (yes, you read correctly) is available for free. |
