Once again, the golden archives have been scoured for more and this oldie was dug out. Fountain, being located on a big city-like mothership, brings its unique ideas to life, which were rather good on its date; and despite the map oversizing and very notorious misalignment issues it's still an enjoyable map which is worth your time!

================================================================ Title : Fountains (Part I of "Trilogy") Filename : FOUNTAIN.ZIP Author : John N. Daily Email Address : daily[at]capital.net Previous Dukle Work : The Trouble With Transporters (TROUBLE.MAP) Fountains DukeMatch (FOUNTDM.MAP) Files included in this .ZIP : FOUNTAIN.BAT FOUNTAIN.MAP FOUNTAIN.TXT (This file) FOUNTIPS.TXT (Read this for a walk-through, and a list of all hidden areas!) Description : After defeating BadAss (tm), Duke decides he needs a change of location. Going to his cousin Wade's house (you know...Wade Wastem - 2nd cousin twice removed on Duke's mother's side), Duke discovers that the aliens have seized control of the city - and this time, they're *really* pissed! Duke's mission is to retake the city (even if he has to level it to do so!), transport himself aboard the mothership and await further instructions there (Part II of "Trilogy" - coming soon). It will *NOT* be easy. Those Alien Bastards (tm) will mess with Duke's sense of direction, and send him anywhere they can kill him...including Mama Chin's, an exclusive, PRIVATE restaraunt - where they tend to get annoyed if you enter without an invitation. Bon Appitite!!! Time To Build : 40-50 Hours (Quite possibly the *largest* Duke level made so far) Additional Credits to : Ralph Terry for helping me test drive this puppy. ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Yes!!!!! (P-60 or higher) Cooperative 2-8 Player : Yes!! (Framerate will slow on anything less than P-120's though.) :( Dukematch 2-8 Player : Possible, although I think there's too much else going on. Grab a copy of FOUNTDM.MAP instead for a killer DukeMatch version of this file! (See below for WWW address) Difficulty Settings : No New Sounds : No New Graphics : No Demos Replaced : None. * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : Ken Silverman's BUILD Editor Known Bugs : Two doors in Mama Chin's. One dissappears in mid-swing (you probably won't notice), the other causes a wicked bleed through from the kitchen into the meat locker..although if you'd listen to your mother and shut the door behind you, this wouldn't be a problem! :) Does anyone know how to fix this last one? --> Mailing List <-- If you would like to recieve new maps from me as soon as they're released, just send an email to daily[at]capital.net with the subject heading SUBSCRIBE DUKEMAPS I'll send you a confirmation letter, and you're all set!! --> Copyright / Permissions <-- Authors MAY NOT add to this level.
