An old map which shows its age, Digsite remains a very playable and enjoyable level. The design and shading is alright but some of the texturing is just plain awful - the gameplay makes up for this however. There's an intriguing story behind it as well so you really can't lose.

Author Info : Long time Doomer, now a Duke fanatic Description : The EDF searches for secrets leading to the homeworld of the aliens that attacked earth. Earth is taking the fight to them! Who else do they send in to examine the archealogical digsite that may lead to a breakthrough? DUKE NUKEM, of course! There's a hitch though, the aliens know what you're up to and will stop at nothing to prevent Duke from finding the secret location of their homeworld. Difficulty Settings : Not implemented * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Editor(s) used : BUILD Known Bugs : None detected on last BUILD NOTE: This level CANNOT be used to build other levels but CAN be put onto CD compilations provided that this .txt file is attached (and unaltered). **NOTE (Hints section): WARNING: SPOILER :WARNING 1) The switch for the big red door in the alien sector is in the star room, it is opposite from the entrance. 2) Be very careful in the giant red room, the walkway can be shot out by enemies and is difficult to see in the first place. Try using the goggles. (It is a good idea to find the jetpack before attempting the puzzle just in case.) 3) You must cross the threshold of the space doors to complete the level but you cannot voyage past the big green field. (hmmmm?) 4) The lift for the gourge is near the holographic head, just around the rock outcropping. 5) Be wary of the main corridors...tremors have made the area unstable. 6) Use the ship's main gun to get some goodies and have access to water (for a constant source of health...good for deathmatch.)
