Originally a DM map but later extended to SP mode as well, The Pit is a large, nicely designed map with a couple of large sprite bridges and an awful lot of teleports. SP play is in a totally different vein to the DM aspect - there's no cards to hunt down or puzzles to solve, it's a quest for survival as you try to accumulate enough firepower to take on the numerous battlelords, octabrains and sentry drones in the main arena, and eventually gain access to the room containing the nuke button. Fast paced action guaranteed through-out, be sure to save every once in a while as you never know when a rocket will sneakingly find its way to your face. Take a look-see!

Duke Nukem 3D .MAP Authoring Template v1.0 ================================================================ Title : The Pit Filename : PIT.MAP Author : Martin Email Address : sandin[at]swipnet.se Description : Cool multiplayer level. The monsters, lot's of 'em, were at first put in mainly to enhance DM games. After some modifications it's now also a nice singleplayer level. To play it DM with all the monters you should have some nice hardware. And, it's hard in singleplayer mode, but it's possible to survive.
