An oldie but one that's quite enjoyable, Moonbase Prime is nothing remarkable - it's simply a moonbase which has been overrun by aliens. Design and puzzles are pretty much average, there's no button pushing - it's just a key hunt. Some areas are well done in terms of design, there's some nice detail in parts (near the beginning for instance, and the small commercial area) but most of it has been slapped up and you get the impression it was a rushed job. The maze is just plain ugly - a maze in a level is annoying at best, but when decent texturing and shading aren't considered it just gets horrible. Despite its shortcomings though, the level is fun - there's almost a hundred baddies to blow up in a variety of locations. One more for the archives.
