Another map from years past which still plays and looks great even by today's standards. You're to infiltrate a mountain-side base by blowing it up, kick a spot of alien butt in the meanwhile and ultimately recover some secret material from a crashed plane. Gameplay is superbe all the way through, nothing too difficult - just plain awesome explosive scenes and plenty of action to keep you entertained.

Story                 : So listen up, here's the story... Duke's
                        mission is to find special material which
                        had crashed along with the airplane
                        (with a little help of baddys) and trapped
                        somewhere in the heart of mountains.
                        Duke arrives with his new hot-rod style car
                        (a.. isn't it cute?) right in front of the
                        mines, which is the closest place to the crash
                        site. But the baddys were not so dumb and blew
                        off the entrance (you can see the commander
                        blow himself by an accident).
                        Unfortunately Duke finds (or not) his way
                        through their base. 'Today's sunday - a bad
                        party for them'.
                        Blasting out baddys' base Duke gets to
                        the mines. You can see the trooper pushing
                        down the detonation handle there - well make a
                        run for it (if you go backwards you can feel
                        like in a movie).
                        The rest: see for yourself...

Description           : I've tried to do the level as much
                        realistic as it can be, everything
                        which can be destructable is destructable,
                        e.g. if it is a tree - it will be blown up
                        by a nearby BOOM, if it is a table - it will
                        also come apart, if it is an explosion
                        store - well.. you can imagine what will
                        happen, etc.
                        The level has different ways of competing
                        it so you can miss some great effects
                        playing it only once.
                        Cracks are hidden all over the level
                        (for great effects see the airplane area).

                        I just hate those enforcers with chainguns
                        so you won't find them anywhere.
                        And I also hate very hard levels so you
                        have normal chance of survival here.

                        Level is also ready for recording a demo.

                        Sorry for the framerate and don't forget:
                        'Use your head, use your head!.. Ouch! Not
                        in that way..'

* Play Information *

Single Player         : Yep, that's the best part
Coop                  : Yep, up to 12 players
DukeMatch             : Yep, up to 12 players. The dukematch has it's
                        own arena (by the airplane). Take an RPG
                        and shoot anywhere (at the wall) or take some
                        pipebombs and put the everywhere around the
                        plane (faster PCs required).
                        Another fun trick is when you appear in octas'
                        cage: if someone finds you there from outside
                        before you find your way to escape, well..
                        you can only say your last wish.
                        I had a problem with making that DM arena
                        because the start position also features
                        in DM. Just push the big switch and go.
                        Later the way into the base is blocked.
* Construction *

Base                  : Total scratch
Build time            : About 2 months.
Editor(s) used        : what else, Build (not very cool but..)
Known Bugs            : The are 2 places where you can get squished:
                        the first is at the enemys' base entrance,
                        and in the airplane when you jump into
                        the control room. I don't know why but
                        sometimes it happens. There are some
                        overlapped sectors in the beginning. Tell
                        me if you notice something unusual.
