As the accompanying text file indicates, Duke has been volunteered to clean out yet another alien infested complex. That's alright for Duke though, the alien vermin have again neglected to tidy way all the dangerous weapons just laying about and this carelessness has effectively sealed their fate. The complex, as most of them are, is quite non-descript in function and probably the result of an oversized military budget - all the better because that means there's a vast swathe of control rooms and warehousey bits to secure, and of course the satisfaction that goes along with it.
Design is pretty top-notch and there's lots of interconnected-ness going on, though it's pretty easy to keep your bearing. Texture are reasonably varying and well chosen; the corridors combine aesthetic architecture with your general military/industrial textures to good effect, and it's pretty hard to fault the author's shading. There's quite a lot of ambient light so there's no nasty surprises waiting in dark corners, however there's plenty of nasty surprises waiting in dark barrels - be vigilant.
Action is pretty much non-stop from start to finish, assuming you don't revisit cleared out areas, with the level of enemy increasing the further you proceed. There's more than enough firepower around to dispose of them, but not so if you waste RPG and devastator rounds on lesser monsters. With all the sneak attacks, traps and explosive arsenal directed at Duke, health should be considered a premium - just watch your back. There's two exits to the level - a nuke button or the extermination of a large alien, the latter of which is far more fun. Take a look-see.
