This predecessor to Dark Front 2: The Shipment is done in very much the same way - great design, detailed locations, excellent shadow work - were it not for the monsters and the occasional one-liner, one could easily mistake this level for one created for a latter-engine game. Gameplay however really lets IMF Base Vengence down - the puzzles are more straightforward than a drunken kangaroo on heat and the level can be completed in five minutes (ten if you're lucky). It's good fun while it lasts, you get a healthy arsenal to dispense the alien invaders with and there's plenty of goodies stashed about the place - the level is just disappointingly short. Take a gander anyway.

"Duke sorry about this, but I'm afraid we are going to have to send you out to a small research station out in the middle of nowhere. We lost all contact with it about an hour and a half ago. We are sending you to go check on the situation. We honestly don't think it is anything important." An hour later Duke is at the subway service elevator into the facility.
