A rather nice effort from a new author, Captin Cat - Airport West begins in Duke's apartment and quickly becomes quite an outdoor involvement. Gameplay has been picked over meticulously and the whole thing looks good. There's plenty of detail and design points - the atmos is right up there though it could have done with a bit more ambience. In short, aliens have taken over an airport - it's your job to nuke 'em. Take a gander!

Now Duke has to get into the airport, get to the other side and stop the invading aliens Kicken Ass here on Earth!! ====================================================================== Duke sits on his sleazy motel bed, the cable tv he is watching stops for an important newsflash. The local airport 'Airport West' has been taken over by those alien bastards (will the action ever stop!!?). The aliens are hijacking planes and transporting their force around the world. Two small airbuses have already touched down in Airport West and another Airbus300 full of alien scum is expected shortly. Dukes pager beeps, "Duke, get to the control tower, disable the airport radar... FORCEFULLY! Do it now!" "I think this is one plane Airbus can afford to lose!" Duke says with a grin, he grabs his pistol, and on que a space creep kicks open the door... ====================================================================== Additional Credits To : Travis Percy (testing and showing me the art of shading nice) Rob Simpson (Testing, the simpson mobile!) One was a tag from when i first finished the level and the second is from the new 'gameplay friendly' ending that i gave the map. The first time it was never really finished, it just had a pathway and looked finished, the gameplay wasn't there. Origionally, at the end you jumped out of the terminal onto the runway and it was an all out kill fest, you would jump into boxes for cover only to have baddies respawn and double in numbers! I decided to CUT DOWN on the baddies (not get rid of) and implement a puzzle instead. Tho it was fun circling round with the devistator, using up the steroids while trying to strafe into some atomic health, it was a bit ludicrous, this way is much better. By the way, viewscreen text messages can change in this level. You gotta blow something up ;) at the end to find the multiswitch code. Captin Cat... (i'm not giving any more hints) ====================================================================== (no really) (read messages in the control tower viewscreens, use explosives and then read it again) (...it starts with r and ends with r) (hmm. R&R where have i heard that before?)
