Review by Forge on 13th January 2008

A medium sized factory styled map with a simple design and layout. Texturing and shading are done fairly well and there's a couple of nice architectural creations. Detailing and sprite work were randomly placed and sporadic. The atmosphere was dark and barren for the most part, but there were a few spots that seemed out of place; like the colorful "teleporter" and the area at the very end, after the last mini-battle lord, which didn't quite fit the over-all scheme.

It's a pretty easy and simple map. There's no puzzles and the only challenge was the first mini-battle lord. The next three mini-battle lords were too easy to gain tactical advantage on. Traversing the map is just a matter of walking in the only available direction, throwing the switch to open a door and moving on. Combat was never a real challenge; the amount of health and the available weapons for Duke's arsenal were more than a match for the aliens.
The hole in the floor, next to the atomic health sitting on the crate, didn't let me duck back through it very easily. Had to circle around like a dog looking for a comfortable spot to lay down before it let me back down. That's the only problem I had.

Texturing/Lighting-Shading: 8/10
Sprite Work/Detailing-Architecture: 8/10
Ambiance: 17/20
Layout: 17/20
Gameplay/Difficulty: 36/40
Overall: 86/100

Release date: 6th of May, 2007

By: Supertanker, Steambull, Mikko Sandt, Stef, Vector, DavoX

Description: The seventh CBP was initiated by Supertanker back in January
2006. We decided to work under the old limits and focus on one theme - hitech
(the level turned out to be very consistent with its theme).
But then it was time for some uber-bad management. Our belowed leader,
Supertanker, disappeared from time to time and didn't stay in touch
with the rest of the team. When the last in line, DavoX, got the map
back in October, we seemed to be close to finishing the whole thing, but
then it took seven months for DavoX to actually finish his part.
Since Supertanker had once again disappared it was up to the rest of the
team to wrap things up. I added monsters and items and had the gameplay
tested (Sang was our outside beta tester). Some bugs were fixed and so
on. So, if something like this can happen to a single map don't ask why
so many games get delayed.

Davox has this to say:

"I'd like to thank the whole duke community first of all because of all the
support they've been giving to duke and the enormous amount of new maps and
content they gave us through the last decade. And the CBP group for waiting
a LOT OF TIME for me to finish the map, all i can say is that i've been
thought difficult times lately, life can be though sometimes and the CBP map
suffered from it...I'm sorry! so i tried to give you guys the best ending i
could i hope all of you like it :) NOW WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING READING
THIS AND GO PLAY IT!!!

See you later in a future release :)."
