Flying people? Digital clocks at graffiti artist height? General futuristic looking buildings? Welcome to 2121 AD, a key-run level with nice effects a-plenty, great architecture, ideas and layout - and with gameplay rivalling the best model trainsets Switzerland has on offer! Nicely climactic ending too... download it now!

Description : Duke has traveled a century into the future, to the year 2121
A.D.
He was invited there not only to fight off the latest swarm
of
invaders, but also to be a special guest on a Los Angeles TV
talk show
about time travelers.
I may also create a series of futuristic maps, each one
exploring a
different sci-fi future vision. For starters, this map takes
place
in the not-too-distant 22nd century, so it's still fairly
down-to-earth. The main difference is that cars are
obsolete, and
have been replaced by jetpacks, air lift tubes, and moving
sidewalks
that transport people around the city.
Special Effects : This map also has several special effects that I haven't seen
in
other maps. They include a fully operational digital clock,
hallucinogenic gas, a working popcorn machine, flying people,
and
more. There's also an item in the theater that needs to be
picked up
and carried, which is similar to effects in Asylum and
Bobsp1, but
it uses a different method.
*** Run 2121AD.BAT to play this map. It installs the art and con files, and launches
the game.

Known Bugs/Problems : If your PC is slower than 133 Mhz, the framerate may lag at
times.
There are no bugs that I know of, but a couple effects may
appear
to be bugs: (1) The city is filled with people, and I
didn't
want them to keep getting hurt, so I just made them
invincible.
(2) Since the con file doesn't have any global variables, I
used
the player's scuba, holoduke, and boots to send signals to
various
sprites. So you may notice those items in your inventory
(at 0%),
even though you never picked them up.
