Starting out in a prison cell, this level takes you to an apartment building (rather nicely done), a dance club and a small supermarket - so nothing overly creative or new. Puzzles are logical and require you to explore in order to proceed, and the scarceness of ammo adds an extra dimension of fun. Design is mostly pretty good, the prison could do with a touch-up but it's still well worth checking out.

Filename : police.map Author : asbestos E-mail : lead_asbestos[at]yahoo.com Web Page : Asbestos' Duke Nukem 3D Page: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Stadium/8200 I also run the TC Help Center at Total Conversions.com: http://www.totalconversions.com Misc. Author Info : I um...like to make Duke levels and listen to that good ol' techno/industrial music. Other Levels : Polout2, and some others that I never posted. I'm currently working as Lead Level Creator on the Final Sundown TC. Description : Well, Duke has landed his recless ass in jail for indecent exposure, and now has to get out. Actually, the jail is only a small portion of the begining. The rest just takes place in the city...consisting of a jail (duh), a dance club (complete with DJ turntables), an apartment building, and a mini-mart. If you get stuck and don't think there's anywhere else to go, then your wrong. Trust me, there is an exit to the level, you just have to be smart and actually look for the way to get there. But, if you DO get stuck, then e-mail me and I'll help ya out. Additional Credits To : BMF54123 for fixing up a glitch with the targets, 3D Realms for the great game, and my beta testers. ====================================================================== * Play Information * Episode and Level # : User level, so I think it's considered E1L8... Known Bugs/Problems : Sometimes my butt hurts after sitting in this chair for too long... * Where to get this MAP file * File location : My site and Dukeworld (http://www.dukeworld.com) ===================================================================== *Important Information* Installation : Well, just stick it in your duke directory and type: duke3d -map police.map Important Notes : I intended for this level to be quite hard, and it is. It is beatable (I've done it several times to make sure), you just have to do things wisely. For example: be stinjy! Just because you have a shotgun DOESN'T mean that you should use it on every baddie. Certain weapons should only be used at certain times. Also, don't just run into a room and attempt to kill everybody at once. If you can just kind of peek in the door and let one enemy see you at a time, then that's what you should do. Hmm...what else... nothing I guess! Have fun and enjoy the map! ======================================================================
