One of the best older maps I've seen, Hostile Waters takes place on a half-submerged nuclear submarine with plenty of aquatic life and dark, twisting corridors. Atmosphere in the level is incredible, it's more or less a giant key-hunt but there's a couple of nice puzzles and explosions to keep the action flowing. Gameplay, design and ingenuity are all high ranking - check it out!

Once more duke finds himself in the middle of a hostile
situation, this time aboard a half flooded nuclear submarine,
grounded on the rocks in the middle of the ocean on a dark
stormy night. Though I doubt Duke cares what the weather is like!
Find your way through the darkness of submerged corridors, beware
what is lurking in the shadows for these waters are shark infested.
You must keep your air supplie topped up or you will end up like
the former crew. Dont hesitate to open fire on anything that moves
but watch the missile silos, we dont want to set off any nuclear
explosions (though that is the point)!
This is a tough one, but dont give up....

Additional Credit to: Charles McIntire, for the idea of the
flooding compartment.. cheers mate!
